A Thank You

With technology now-a-day: e-mails, smart phones, etc, it’s very rare to get a handwritten note anymore. When I got the mail earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised to find a handwritten letter addressed to me! I thought, “who can this be from?” Sure enough, upon opening the envelope, I found the cutest little personalized Thank You card from a recent bride that I worked with on her Letterpress Wedding Invitations (which will be posted up shortly as well). It melted my heart. I usually follow up with brides to make sure they receive the cards safely or they’ll usually e-mail me to tell me they’ve received it. I hadn’t heard from her so I actually e-mailed her before I got the mail for that day. Sure enough, after I emailed her and got the mail, I got this. This was even better! To read her genuine, sincere words made me so extremely happy. Thank you, Katy. You made my day!

Black & White Letterpress Business Cards

I’ve known Marc Bonanni for quite some time now and was thrilled to print his business cards for him. He’s such a knowledgeable person and is always our go-to guy when we’re in need of legal advice or just great company. 🙂

I love the simplicity of his cards: black and white, simple, clean. This was printed on our 220# cardstock, so I was able to get a deep impression which I just absolutely love. You can see from the photos that this was pressed pretty deep and it feels so good on the fingertips!

Ashley Kelemen Photography Letterpress Business Cards

Ashley contacted me a few weeks back regarding letterpress business cards.  She’s a fantastic photographer located here in Southern California (check out her awesome work here: http://ashleykelemen.com/).  She wanted 2-color front/2-color back business cards with her logo and the colors grey and yellow.  I love the simplicity of these.  These were printed on 110# pearl white cardstock and duplex together making a 220# card.

Letterpress business cards with QR code and edge paint

QR codes have been popular and popping up around everywhere lately it seems.  They’re so cool and such a fun concept that I wanted to incorporate that into James Terrar’s business cards.  He’s from London!  How cool is that, right?  I hope I can make it out there someday.  One of the many destinations on my list of places to visit.  He was a real joy to work with and was very open to different designs.  This was my favorite.  Classic, clean, and simple.  Of course I had to add that pop with the edge painting.  I totally love that burgundy color!

I printed these on our 220# pearl white cardstock.  I love the feel of a letterpress business card.  Actually, the feel of letterpress anything to be more exact!

Sean Norman Photography Letterpress Business Cards with Edge Painting

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sean Norman of Sean Norman Photography from Canada.  Boy, was he a hoot!  His emails were so animated and it was so much fun working with him!  I especially love his photos of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) — they take my breath away!  Check it out! http://seannorman.com/

For Sean, we printed business cards, Thank You notes, and print release cards.  His business cards were printed on the florescent white 220# cardstock and the additional cards were printed on the 110#.  The business cards were printed on both our C&P and Vandercook No. 4.  For his logo, we used the “split fountain” method on the Vandercook (which gave it such a cool effect), and the rest of the text on our trusty C&P.  We had some fun colors to play with with this job.  I can’t tell you enough how much fun it was to print.  The edge painting just finished the cards nicely.
